Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is used to remove sun-damaged skin and to remove or lessen scars and dark spots on the skin. The procedure is not very painful and requires no anaesthetic. Microdermabrasion can be used medically for scar removal when the scar is raised above the surrounding skin, but is less effective with sunken scars. Microdermabrasion can also be used for treatment of acne, but must be repeated periodically to be effective. Microdermabrasion uses Corundum Crystals to exfoliate dull and dead skin, leaving skin soft and glowing. The slight vacuum created also removes exfoliated cells and Corundum from the skin's surface.

Waxing

Sugar waxing

Sugar waxing is a popular form of hair removal that works in the same way traditional waxing does. A thick sugary substance similar to caramel is spread on the skin in the direction of hair growth, and embeds the hair in it. A cloth or paper strip is patted onto the caramel and then pulled quickly in the opposite direction of the hair growth, pulling the hairs out of its follicles. The advantage of this method over traditional waxing is the clean up. The sugar substance is water-soluble and can be removed much easier than wax, simply by rinsing with water
